Nirendranath Chakrabarty is one of the classic name in Indian writers. He was born in Faridpur, Bangladesh in 1924. Famous works of this poet are 'Amalkanti roddur hote cheyechhilo', 'Nirokto Korobi', 'Kolkatar Jishu' etc. 'Bhaduri Moshai' character and detective novels around it is a creation of Nirendranath. He also translated 'The adventures of Tintin'. He received awards like 'Sahitya Academy Award (1974)', 'Banga Bibhushan (2017)' and so on. He passed away in 2018 creating a void in Bengali literature.
