Despite of being the son of famous Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay, Taradas Bandyopadhyay made his own place in the history of Bengali literacy. He was born in Barrackpore, West Bengal in 1947. He completed his post-graduation from the University of Calcutta and worked in information and cultural department, West Bengal. One of his most famous works is on 'Taranath Tantrik', a character made by his father. He also worked on 'Kajol', a sequel of 'Aparajito' which is one of the evergreen creation of his father. Some of his famous works are 'Tritiyo Purush', 'Kaal Nirobodhi', 'kakkhopath', 'Saptarshir Aalo' and others. He passed away in the year 2010.
